Ms. Kathy Kubik is a professional graphic and fine art teacher, artist and marketing professional. She began drawing and painting as a child; her abilities grew as she attended school and advanced even more with private training. Ms. Kubik is proficient in oils, mixed media and enjoys drawing, painting and designing. Currently, she is painting a series of portraits of popular personalities and is also working on a spiritual series.

It was from her background in art that she began drawing for many department stores on the west coast. She was the top illustrator for Zody’s, Hartfields and Karl’s shoes and The Akron retail stores. Her talent moved her up the ranks to assistant art director, then art director and then quickly to creative director for several major Los Angeles advertising agencies.
She started her own firm in 1978, in Los Angeles, California where she added public relations and event planning to her talents. Her company had a diverse clientele list, from the largest El Pollo Loco franchise in California, to the City of Inglewood, where she became the assistant to Mayor Edward Vincent and was contracted to provide marketing and public relations services for the city and many politicians. Kathy drew a wealth of experience with The City and The Mayor, working tirelessly on political and city campaigns. She worked with many political celebrities such as Willie Brown; Diane Feinstein; Leo McCarthy; Mayor, Senator and Assemblyman Edward Vincent; Nelson Mandela; Mayor Oscar Goodman; Councilman Michael Mack; Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto; Senator Barbra Cegavshe; and Senator and now Congressman Steven Horsford, to name a few.
One of the designs she produced for the City of Inglewood won “The All American City Award.” The campaign carried a slogan warning drug buyers, “Buying Crack in Inglewood Can Put You between A Rock and A Hard Place.”This campaign was adopted by many other states nationally.
Since moving to Las Vegas in 1994, the company has expanded its clientele to encompass gaming companies such as Becker Gaming and JCM International Corporation; builders like Breslin Builders and Triple Five Nevada Development Corporation; medical professionals such as Dr. Lane Smith, MD Plastic Surgery Institute of Las Vegas; auto dealers such as Findlay Cadillac; as well as a wide variety of smaller companies. Meanwhile, after moving to Las Vegas, she helped with many charitable boards to raising money for people in need: The American Heart Association; Olive Crest; and The Make A Wish Foundation. Beginning in October of 2010, Ms. Kubik began teaching art for Coral Academy of Science, a Las Vegas charter school, where she has found enormous fulfillment in passing on her skills and experience. She has found that teaching is a new path that she wishes to continue, which allows her to share her experiences and skills to the next generation of leaders.
