The Carole Bellmyre Distinguished Scholarship Fund was established in the year 2000 at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and the College of Southern Nevada. Over the past 10 years scholarships have been given to Nevada students in need of financial aid through Distinguished Publishing Company book sales, programs, media and gala events.

High school graduates today are unable to obtain the number of high-paying jobs that were once available as opposed to generations of the past. Our country has been transformed from a manufacturing-based economy to an economy based on knowledge.

And the global economy is becoming more competitive. In order for a student to have the best chance for a well-paying job, they must have a college education. But, many young Nevadans cannot afford the cost of tuition and wonder how they will pay for that education. Distinguished Publishing Company has been able to offer scholarships to students through the Carole Bellmyre Distinguished Scholarship Fund at UNLV and CSN for those Nevada students who are in need of financial aid.

On behalf of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and our students I extend a sincere thank you for your gift towards the Carole Bellmyre Distinguished Scholarship Fund…Read More

Giving Back...

We know the people in our Nevada communities fully understand the need and importance of a college education. With the knowledge and experience students receive from a secondary education will find that higher education can offer the promise of a successful future. Students who receive scholarships through our program benefit from both the financial assistance and the knowledge that their community believes in them enough to help subsidize their education.

Our hope is that the Nevada community will continue to support the Distinguished Scholarship Fund that offers higher education to our children’s future and creates a more prosperous future for Nevada.

The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character — that is the goal of true education.
